Hot HR Content the Last 24-Hours. A SocialEars Special Report.

Each day SocialEars.com posts five of the most widely shared and influential articles and/or blog posts (content) in several industries including human resources.  The HR list is called The HR Hot5. For Thursday, November 29th the list is below. But first, a brief explanation about how SocialEars scores this stuff.

Methodology. There are two factors included in the SocialEars.com scoring. The first is based on a real-time conversation analysis of the articles shared in HR. Conversations include all of the various types of social shares being done online, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and, of course, the blog/article itself. The second factor is based on the "reach" of the author (and when applicable, the media property), which includes his or her Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn audience as well as the frequency of his or her re-share activity. These two factors are combined into a score for each article analyzed. There is additional weighting for the "currency" of the article to ensure that recent articles are given preference to provide a freshness of information. Bias, or spam filters, are also used. Like Google's Penguin and Panda updates, quality content is being highly rewarded, and automation/duplication of shares is being filtered as much as possible.
